How to install your eSIM
Installing takes two or three minutes. Do it at home on Wi-Fi, keep the travel line switched off, and turn it on when you land — the plan only starts counting when the eSIM first connects at your destination.
iPhone
1
Check you're on iOS 17.4 or later for one-tap install
Settings → General → Software Update. On older iOS versions the QR-code method below works just as well.
2
Open the one-tap link or the QR code
On the order page (also linked from your email) tap “Install on iPhone”. iOS opens the eSIM setup directly — no scanning. If you prefer the QR code, show it on another screen and go to Settings → Mobile → Add eSIM → Use QR Code.
3
Confirm and label the line
Tap Continue through the setup. When asked, label the new line “Travel” so it is easy to tell apart from your home SIM.
4
Keep your home SIM for calls and SMS
In the same setup, choose your home line as Default Line (calls, iMessage, SMS). This keeps bank codes and WhatsApp verification working.
5
Leave the travel line off until you arrive
Settings → Mobile → tap the Travel line → turn it off. The plan's validity starts on first connection, so there is no reason to switch it on at home.
6
At your destination
Turn the Travel line on, set Mobile Data to Travel, and enable Data Roaming on the Travel line. Your phone connects within a minute; if it doesn't, switch Airplane mode on and off once.
Android (Pixel, Samsung and others)
1
Open the eSIM settings
Pixel / stock Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add SIM → Download a SIM instead. Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM. The exact names vary slightly between brands and Android versions.
2
Scan the QR code
Show the QR code from your order page on another screen and scan it. If you only have one screen, choose “Enter details manually” and type the SM-DP+ address and activation code shown under the QR code.
3
Name the line and set your defaults
Label the new eSIM “Travel”. Keep your home SIM as the default for calls and SMS, and leave the Travel line disabled for now.
4
At your destination
Enable the Travel line, choose it for Mobile data, and switch Data roaming on for that line. Android asks for a confirmation — accept it. Reconnect by toggling Airplane mode if the network does not appear within a minute.
If something doesn't work
1
“This code is no longer valid”
An eSIM can be installed only once. If you removed it from your phone, write to us with your order number — if it was never activated we can help.
2
Installed but no connection
Check all three switches: Travel line on, Mobile data set to Travel, Data roaming on for Travel. Then toggle Airplane mode. Still nothing? Choose the network manually in the line's Network Selection menu.
3
Phone says the SIM is locked or not supported
The phone must be carrier-unlocked. Contract phones are often locked for the first 12–24 months — ask your carrier to unlock it before you travel.
4
Data stops after a while
On unlimited plans the daily high-speed allowance has been used — speeds reduce until the next day. On fixed plans the data allowance or the validity period has ended; buy a new plan from the destination page.
